Your work. Your privacy.
What we store
CutQuill stores your email, display name and a password hash when you create an account. A secure session cookie keeps you signed in. Projects, imported files and editing preferences can be saved in your browser. Uploaded media, account backups, export jobs and billing records are stored on our server.
AI and imports
When you request AI features, relevant briefs, source metadata, sampled frames, audio or narration text are sent to our configured AI provider, Google Gemini or OpenAI. Public website captures visit the website you provide. Connecting Google Drive or OneDrive lets CutQuill browse and import the files you select; access tokens are kept temporarily on the server and can be disconnected.
Payments
Stripe processes subscriptions, payment methods and invoices. Card details are entered on Stripe’s hosted checkout and are not stored by CutQuill. We store Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, subscription status and usage counts to provide your plan. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
Retention and control
Server exports expire after 30 days. You can delete unused uploads and account backups in the editor; files referenced by a saved project or active render must be removed from those first. Clear your browser’s site data to remove local projects and preferences. Server backups may retain deleted data until the backup rotates. Account and billing records may need to be retained to fulfil service, tax or legal obligations.
Cookies and questions
We use the account session cookie and browser storage needed to operate the editor. This app does not include advertising trackers. For an account data request, contact info@cutquill.com from your account email. Do not include passwords or payment details.
